Pastor Jeffress on Kavanaugh Confirmation: Good Has Triumphed Over Evil

Pastor Robert Jeffress says the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court justice shows conservatives are finally fighting back against the left.

Jeffress, pastor oat the First Baptist Church of Dallas, made his comments during a Tuesday interview on Fox News' “Fox & Friends.” He had attended the swearing in of Kavanaugh at the White House on Monday.

“It was electric in the room,” he said. “I would say the oversensing feeling in the East Room was that good had triumphed over evil.”

Jeffress said conservatives have felt "bullied" by the left for decades. And he maintained they have longed for a leader like President Donald Trump who would not back down.

“And I think, in many ways, the confirmation of Justice Kavanaugh represents conservatives finally standing up and saying, to quote the movie: 'We're as mad as hell and we're not going to take this any longer.’'"

And he added: “I have never seen Christians as stirred up about anything as they have (about) this Kavanaugh chaos controversy. Other Christian leaders tell me the same thing."

Prior to the vote confirming Kavanaugh, Jeffress had said Democrats' only interest was in “delaying and derailing his confirmation.”
