House Speaker Paul Ryan agreed that the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, would not be repealed if Hillary Clinton gets elected.

The Hill reported that Milwaukee radio host Jay Weber said to Ryan: "Another hard truth: ObamaCare doesn't get repealed, likely ever, if Hillary wins."

The Wisconsin Republican said he agreed and talked about Republican plans as opposed to Clinton's.

"Hillary's talking about a public option, which is basically double down on government-run healthcare," Ryan told Weber. "That's the opposite of what we're offering. We actually have a plan to replace ObamaCare. All of us have basically gotten a consensus on what our plan is, but we have to win an election to put it in place."

The Republican nominee and members of the GOP in Congress have been vowing to repeal Obama's health care law, but if she becomes president, Clinton would have the ability to repel any attempt.

Democrats are hoping Republicans would join them in bipartisan plans to fix the law to handle rising premiums and insurers that drop out of the marketplace amid struggles to make money.

Republicans have attempted to repeal the law since it launched.

Newsweek said the law needs to be fixed to win over millennials because it depends on "younger, healthier people enrolling to balance the cost of older, sicker enrollees."

Motley Fool reported on amounts that average Americans would pay for Obamacare by age in 2017.

Monthly costs, according to Motley Fool:

  • Silver plan premium, 30-year-old: $364.91.
  • Silver plan premium, 40-year-old: $410.73.
  • Silver plan premium, 50-year-old: $574.10.
  • Silver plan premium, 60-year-old: $872.01.
