Obamacare backers are making a last-minute push to defeat the Republican healthcare bill, The Washington Times is reporting.

The Alliance for Healthcare Security, which is made up of liberal advocacy groups, was airing an ad warning that "Washington politicians have a plan that will decimate healthcare," according to the newspaper.

The narrator in the ad says: "People who know healthcare best say this healthcare repeal bill is the worst. The American Medical Association calls the bill critically flawed. AARP says it will weaken Medicare."

The push comes after Wednesday's Obamacare rally in Washington, which featured former Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden had predicted the Republican healthcare proposal would not pass, Politico reported.

"I'm not going anywhere," Biden said. "This bill isn't going to pass."

Meanwhile, the American Hospital Association, which opposes the GOP plan, is running a commercial focusing on President Donald Trump's campaign promise that "everybody" would be covered under his healthcare plan.

And it notes how 20 million people have gained coverage under Obamacare, The Washington Times reported.

"Now under some plans in Congress, millions of these Americans could lose that health coverage," the narrator in the ad says. "The women and men of America's hospitals urge Congress to protect affordable coverage for as many Americans as possible."
