New York Republicans would be more happy with one of their own, businessman Donald Trump, as the eventual presidential nominee than Ted Cruz, who famously spurned "New York values," according to exit polls.

Here's how New York Republicans responded when asked after voting Tuesday whether they would stay home in November:

Would not vote if GOP nominee is:
  • Donald Trump: 26 percent
  • John Kasich: 30 percent
  • Ted Cruz: 41 percent
GOP campaign has mostly:
  • Divided party: 57 percent
  • Energized party: 39 percent
New York Democrats felt the opposite.

Campaign has:
  • Energized party: 68 percent
  • Divided party: 27 percent
Democrats' view on Wall Street:
  • Helps U.S. economy: 29 percent
  • Hurts U.S. economy: 64 percent
Here's how the candidates fared with Hispanic voters:
  • Hillary Clinton: 57 percent
  • Bernie Sanders: 43 percent
Young voters:
  • Bernie Sanders: 69 percent
  • Hillary Clinton: 31 percent
