Pelosi: Trump Never 'Should Have Been President'

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi let a Democratic talking point slip out Tuesday by saying she doesn't think President Donald Trump should have won the election.

During a press conference on Capitol Hill, Pelosi was first asked about sexual misconduct allegations leveled at Trump by several women and whether he should resign. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and other left-leaning lawmakers have called on Trump to step down.

"I think there's a course of action here," Pelosi explained. "The committee should allow the investigation to go forward. The court should allow the case to go forward."

When pressed to say whether Trump should resign, Pelosi wouldn't take the bait but she did say, "I don't think he ever should have been president."

That last comment drew laughter from the press corps covering her remarks. Pelosi then thanked the media and ended the session.
