Rep. Mike Rogers: The Man Obama Can No Longer Ignore

The White House has turned a deaf ear in recent months to the arguments of Michigan Republican Rep. Mike Rogers over homeland security. He has warned the Obama administration “that its inter-agency, by-the-book strategy for questioning suspected terrorists has failed, squandering opportunities to develop valuable intelligence that could prevent another attack,” Politico reports.

Miek Rogers, homeland security, Obama, questioning“When the GOP takes control of the House in January, however, Rogers' one-man crusade against President Barack Obama's approach on interrogating terrorists, and its central innovation — an elite, inter-agency, rapid-response team of questioners ready for dispatch anywhere in the world — will become much harder for the administration to ignore.”

That’s because Rogers, a former Army officer and FBI agent who investigated organized crime, will chair the influential House Intelligence Committee.
