Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Nevada next week for the latest stop on his national tour of campaigning for Republicans running in November's midterm elections.

Politico reported Pence will attend an April 13 fundraiser for Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., which will carry a $1,000-per-plate entrance fee. Tickets for a photo reception are $10,000.

Pence has already made stops in West Virginia, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan, Politico noted, as he stumps for Republicans. The GOP holds a two-seat majority in the Senate and a 46-seat edge in the House. Democrats could take back at least one of the majorities come November.

Heller was in a tight race with fellow Republican Danny Tarkanian ahead of the June 12 primary, but President Donald Trump convinced Tarkanian to let Heller run for the GOP spot on the general election ballot unopposed for the sake of having a unified Republican Party in the Silver State.

"I am confident I would have won the U.S. Senate race and done a great job representing the people of Nevada in the Senate, but the president is adamant that a unified Republican ticket in Nevada is the best direction for the America First movement," Tarkanian said.
