In the strangest case of political bedfellows this election season, Mike Huckabee says he's in total agreement with "hard leftist" Susan Sarandon that Hillary Clinton isn't fit for the White House.
Writing on his
Facebook page on Wednesday, the former Arkansas governor who dropped his bid for the GOP presidential nomination earlier this year, explained:
"Well, it's a strange day. First, I praise Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich for his ability to recognize and admit how 'rigged' the DNC Convention is.
"Now, I actually find myself agreeing with outspoken liberal actress and activist Susan Sarandon!"
He said the Oscar-winning star of such films as "Thelma and Louise," "Dead Man Walking" and "Pretty Baby" had "felt the Bern" for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
"And on the first night of the convention was definitely feeling burned by the DNC (she tweeted as much) and looking utterly miserable. She just can't get behind Hillary.
"And it's for reasons that will hit home for us conservatives and for anyone else who cares one bit for actual accomplishment. 'What is experience without judgment?' she has said.
'She's had a job, but what has she done that we're bragging about? How has she led?"'
Huckabee called Sarandon's queries, "great questions."
"We Republicans addressed them at our convention. Of course, we have many more reasons to keep Hillary out of the White House — the list is long — but even some hard leftists like Sarandon can see the potential for disaster that is Hillary Clinton," he said.
