Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has sent a scathing letter to Frito-Lay over the snack food giant's release of homosexual-themed "Doritos Rainbows."
In a letter, he told the company, "If [this promotion] does represent the corporate values of Frito-Lay, then the Christian community needs to be made aware that Frito-Lay has decided to not seek their business."

In the letter, Huckabee implores the company to examine the person it was partnering with in the promotion. The gay-themed Doritos were made in support of the "It Gets Better" organization, founded by controversial gay rights activist Dan Savage with the aim of helping to prevent homosexual teen suicide.
Frito-Lay is owned by PepsiCo., makers of Pepsi Cola.
Savage is known for unleashing a slew of vulgar and angry diatribes at Christians and conservative Republicans throughout the years.
"I hope that you will do some honest vetting about Dan Savage and his very hateful and vulgar comments toward Christians and his calls for violence and injury to people he disagrees with," Huckabee writes in the letter, WND reports. "It is beyond me to understand how a responsible corporation would think that partnering with someone who spews the vicious vitriol that Savage does would be worthy of your corporate contributions."
In a 2012 column for WND, Matt Barber writes
that, "Savage told the Daily Pennsylvanian in 2006 that Carl Romanelli, a U.S. senate candidate he didn't like, 'should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there's nothing left but the rope…..'
"He also once said on HBO that he "wished all Republicans were f–king dead."
Savage has also been in the news lately with the revelation that ABC is airing a sitcom produced by him and supposedly based on his upbringing.
Media watchdog Newsbusters says of the new program:
"'The O'Neals are your typical Irish Catholic family,' the voiceover begins. Which of course means the daughter pockets what she collects for church charities, Mom and Dad are divorcing, the family priest's vow of poverty doesn't apply to his Lexus, and the main character, a teenage son, is gay and struggling to come out of the closet."
The group One Million Moms also lashed out at Frito-Lay
for joining up with Savage, writing in a post on its website that "[n]ot only is Frito-Lay promoting homosexuality among teens, but it is backing the agenda of one of the most anti-Christian bullies in America.
"Frito-Lay knows very well that by doing so, it is condoning open hatred and animosity towards people of faith, especially Christians. By making 'Dorito Rainbows,' the company is showing its true colors."
