At least one more government informant tried to infiltrate the Trump presidential campaign, former campaign aide Michael Caputo said on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle."
"Let me tell you something that I know for a fact," Caputo said. "This informant, this person that they tried to plant into the campaign - and even into the administration, if you believe Axios -- he's not the only person who came at the campaign. And the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came at the campaign.”
Caputo added that "I know because they came at me. And I'm looking for clearance from my attorney to reveal this to the public. This is just the beginning."
Axios reported that the suspected FBI informant in the Trump campaign was also recommended for a senior position in the administration.
Caputo also insinuated that former National Intelligence Director James Clapper and others would end up in jail for carrying out the operation.
"When we finally find out the truth about this, Director Clapper and the rest of them will be wearing some orange suits," he said.
Caputo’s comments come a day after the Justice Department announced its request that Inspector General Michael Horowitz expand his review of the FBI’s “Russian collusion” probe to include possible abuses of the surveillance application process and political motivation, RT reported.
The Justice Department request came soon after President Donald Trump demanded an investigation on Twitter.
