Melania Trump joined her husband on the campaign trail Monday night in Milwaukee to rally support for the GOP front-runner. In her brief speech, she said her husband treats everyone equally, both men and women, reports
The Hill.
Melania touted her husband as a "great communicator. He's kind, and he has a great heart," she said. "He is telling the truth."
"No matter who you are, a man or a woman, he treats everyone equal," she added.
She restated a quote Trump's campaign has said before. When he's attacked, she's said, Trump "punches back 10 times harder."
"He will work for you and with you. Together we will make America strong and great again."
Her appearance may be a reaction to Trump's recent missteps that might cost him women voters, reports
Vanity Fair.
Trump's daughter, Ivanka, campaigned for him into the late stages of her pregnancy. She is off the trail with her new baby.
Trump's ex-wives have also come out in support of him. Ivana, his first wife and Ivanka's mother, said she speaks to him after campaign appearances and has told him to "be more calm," notes
Vanity Fair.
She also supports her ex-husband's tough immigration policies. "As long as you come here legally and get a proper job . . . We need immigrants. Who's going to vacuum our living rooms and clean up after us?" she said. "Americans don't want to do that."
Marla Maples, Trump's second wife, said Trump wants to be "a voice for peace," reports the
New York Daily News.
