Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., reportedly said Sunday that she and her supporters are "organizing to bring [President Donald Trump] down," according to Breitbart.
Reporters were not allowed into the event, therefore no video of Waters' speech is available, but attendees were quick to quote the congresswoman on Twitter.
"Mr. President, we are organizing. And we are organizing to bring you down," the congresswoman reportedly said, according to one attendee. "And bring your agenda down."
She reportedly added of Trump: "This man is deplorable, dishonest, a liar, a bully and I want him impeached."
"Today, just minutes before the Democratic fundraiser with liberal Congresswoman Maxine Waters, members of the press were notified the event would be closed, with no explanation as to why the change took place," Jeanie Forrester, chair of the New Hampshire GOP, told Breitbart.
"Are New Hampshire Democrats so ashamed and embarrassed by the potential of a Maxine Waters 2020 campaign for president that they would block the press at her first New Hampshire event?"
Last week, Waters told The Daily Caller that "I'm not running for anything but my own seat. I don't have any presidential aspirations. If the millennials want me to do it, I'd do it, though."
She told The Hill later, "I said, jokingly, 'If the millennials wanted me to do it, I'd do it,' but it's a joke."
