Alabama Rep. Martha Roby, who slammed President Donald Trump for his 2016 "Access Hollywood" tape comments, was forced into a July Republican runoff Tuesday after failing to win 50 percent of the vote over four challengers.
With 84 percent of the vote counted, Roby, who is seeking her fifth term, only took 38 percent.
She will face former Democratic Rep. Bobby Bright, who switched parties, and received 29 percent.
Of the remaining three candidates, former state Rep. Barry Moore won 19 percent, while the others garnered less than 8 percent of the vote.
In October 2016, Roby withdrew her support for presidential candidate Donald Trump, after the "Access Hollywood" tape surfaced that included comments about sexual assault.
"Donald Trump's behavior makes him unacceptable as a candidate for president, and I won't vote for him," Roby said.
In the race for her fourth term that November, Roby barely defeated Democrat Nathan Mathis, 53 percent to 47 percent.
