Donald Trump mocked a deaf actress and even called her "retarded" during tapings of "The Apprentice" in 2011, according to a new report.
The Daily Beast cites sources that worked on Trump's reality show, who claimed the Republican presidential nominee insulted Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin.
"[Trump] would often equate that she was mentally retarded," a source told the website.
Another source said Trump would make notes during tapings about each contestant on the show. Trump once wrote on a notepad: "Marlee, is she retarded??"
Another source, who reportedly worked on the show for years, said Trump would talk with Donald Trump, Jr. and other people during breaks in filming.
"[Trump] would make fun of her voice. It actually sounded a lot like what he did [to] the New York Times guy," the person told The Daily Beast. "Like, to make it seem like she was mentally not there? [It] sounded like he got a real kick out of it. It was really upsetting."
Workers on "The Apprentice" signed nondisclosure agreements that prohibit them from saying what took place behind the scenes.
The Daily Beast claims Trump once made a disparaging remark to Matlin about her being deaf, and the actress stood up for herself to the real estate mogul. Matlin has publicly supported Democrat Hillary Clinton for president.
Richard Hatch, who appeared on "The Apprentice" the same year Matlin did, told People Trump also made sexual comments to Matlin and Lisa Rinna, another contestant.
"It was obvious and it was grotesque. It was blatant and it was frequent," said Hatch, who first gained fame on the show "Survivor."
"He did it with Lisa Rinna; He did it with Marlee Matlin. He did it with whomever happened to be there at the time."
Hatch added that Trump would make comments about the women in front of Ivanka Trump, his daughter.
The revelations follow the leaking of a 2005 tape in which Trump makes sexually aggressive comments and several women coming forward to say Trump sexually assaulted them over the years.
