Police in Palm Beach, Florida, have received intelligence that armed Pro-Trump protesters are headed to the area following the FBI raid on President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, The Daily Mail reports.

Police have notified the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department and other area law enforcement agencies of the information after obtaining it Monday.

Protesters began showing up on the streets outside Mar-a-Lago late Monday afternoon after Trump announced the FBI had raided the estate. Trump and family members were in New York City at Trump Tower at the time.

But police intelligence indicated that protesters from farther away were headed to Palm Beach and some were armed, according to the Mail. They were expected to begin arriving on Tuesday.

On Monday, protesters were waving pro-Trump flags and holding signs in his support, or against the Biden administration or the mainstream media.

One anti-Trump protester was spotted by the Mail.

Palm Beach police said in a statement that the department had not been notified of the search warrant or raid ahead of time, "nor did our department assist the FBI in the execution of a search warrant."

Trump and his allies have slammed the raid as a political stunt ahead of November's midterms and Trump's expected announcement of another presidential run.

The Justice Department has been tight-lipped, but the purpose of the raid is thought to be related to records the National Archives says belong to the government that they say Trump or his aides still have in their possession.
