Joe Biden called out President Donald Trump's efforts to bring back manufacturing to the United States, saying "he blew it."

"I was asked to bring back Chrysler and General Motors," Biden told Fox News moderator Chris Wallace. "We brought them back right here in the state of Ohio and Michigan. He blew it, they're gone, he blew it."

Trump harkened back to the Obama administration claims in 2016 it would take a "magic wand" to bring manufacturing for American workers.

"Ohio had the best year it's ever had last year," Trump shot back to Biden. "Michigan had the best year they've ever had."

Both states are pivotal battleground states in the November election.

"They said it would take a miracle to bring back manufacturing," Trump said. "I brought back 700,000 jobs. They brought back nothing. They gave up on manufacturing."
