Charles Koch’s umbrella group took in $139 million last year, money it used to push Koch’s free market agenda.

The billionaire, according to a report in USA Today, gave most of that money to groups that could help him shape future policies in a Trump administration.

Americans for Prosperity received $23.5 million in 2015 and Concerned Veterans for America $14 million according to the federal tax return of Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, tabbed as the Koch brother’s central hub.

Americans for Prosperity and CVA are both advocacy groups. Koch, who did not publicly support President-elect Donald Trump during his campaign, has powerful ties to the incoming administration. CVA adviser Darin Selnick is advising the Trump transition team and Freedom Partners’ former president Marc Short is a top consultant to Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

Charles and brother, David, have major fundraising and organizational chops. Koch Industries is, according to Forbes, the second largest private company in the country and involved in refining, chemicals, biofuels, forest and consumer products among other industries. The brothers believe in less government intervention and have poured a great amount of money into that vision.

Americans for Prosperity, according to USA Today, also gave grants to Libre Initiative ($5.6 million), the anti-tax Club for Growth ($850,000), Trees of Liberty (more than $2 million), Tea Party Patriots ($100,000) and the 60 Plus Association ($160,000)
