Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand says she's got no plans to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.

In an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis on his Sunday show "The Cats Roundtable," the New York Democrat only committed to her re-election campaign.

"No, I am running for Senate," she said in answer to a question about any 2020 White House aspirations. "I’m running for Senate in 2018. And I really love my job and I feel like I can make a huge difference for New Yorkers, fighting for them."

Gillibrand, elected in a special election in 2010 to fill Clinton's seat when she became secretary of state, and then to a full term in 2012, also decried the president's Cabinet nominees so far.

"Unfortunately, a lot of these nominees are either ill-prepared or inexperienced or really on the very, very right ideologically," she said. "And so, for most of them, I voted no."

Gillibrand has been considered a possible future leadersof the Democratic party along with Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Cory Booker of New York as well as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the New York Post reported.
