Kellyanne Conway on Thursday mocked Hillary Clinton's supporters after they called for a recount in the battleground states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The President-elect's top aide made her comments hours after news outlets reported that Green Party candidate Jill Stein had raised enough money to pay the filing fees needed for a recount of ballots in those states.
Stein, who launched the campaign after a computer scientist at the University of Michigan raised the possibility that ballot machines could've been hacked, reached her $2.5 fundraising goal early Thursday morning. Trump currently leads in electoral votes, 290-232, while Clinton leads in the popular vote, 63,964,956- 62,139,188.
Trump won in Pennsylvania by 1.2 percentage points and in Wisconsin by 1 percentage point while Michigan has yet to call the race for the President-elect.
Clinton's camp has not publicly commented on the potential recount. Stein will likely meet the Nov. 25 filing deadline in Wisconsin. Pennsylvania's deadline is on Nov. 28, and Michigan's is on Nov. 30.
