You can add celebrity impersonations to Karl Rove's list of talents.
Rove, the former adviser to President George W. Bush, did his best impression of another former president, Bill Clinton, at the Aspen Ideas Festival on Friday,
reports The Hill.
While he was bemoaning "retrogressive" Republican leadership, Rove broke into a hoarse Southern accent as he recalled an incident when Clinton said Bush locked up the 2000 presidential election when he embraced compassionate conservatism.
"George, when you said that compassionate conservative thing, I knew we were in deep trouble," Rove said while mocking Clinton.
Rove, who is now a key Republican strategist, said GOP leadership has not been "forward looking" when speaking about sensitive social issues.
