President Donald Trump rushed to the aid Monday of two candidates in special elections set for Tuesday – but lost his grip on the correct spelling for Georgia Republican Karen Handel.

Talking Points Memo got a screen grab of the Georgia GOP contender's incorrect surname in the presidential tweet that initially read, "Karen Handle's opponent in #GA06 can't even vote in the district he wants to represent . . ."

He deleted the misspelled post and replaced it with a corrected one several minutes later.

The president also endorsed – and correctly spelled – GOP congressional candidate Ralph Norman from South Carolina, saying he would be "a fantastic help to me in cutting taxes and getting great border security and healthcare."

Handel, a former Georgia secretary of state, is facing Democrat Jon Ossoff on Tuesday in a special election for an open U.S. House seat vacated by current Secretary of Health and Human Services, Dr. Tom Price. The tight race is seen by many as a referendum on the Trump presidency.

In South Carolina's 5th Congressional district, Norman, the favorite, according to The Herald, is running against Democrat Archie Parnell, a senior adviser at Goldman Sachs, to fill the seat left by Trump's budget director, Mick Mulvaney.
