A federal judge will allow former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates to travel for Thanksgiving without breaking the terms of their house arrest.

The pair was indicted last month by special counsel Robert Mueller, whose investigative team is looking at whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. They asked for permission to travel to Thanksgiving gatherings, as they've been living under house arrest and are rarely allowed to leave.

According to ABC News, a U.S. district court judge granted them "limited release." Drinking alcohol is forbidden, however, and they are required to wear their GPS tracking devices during their trips.

Manafort asked to travel locally out of his Alexandria, Virginia home, while Gates would like to be out of his home in Richmond, Virginia for a total of 18 hours on Thursday and Friday to visit with family.
