The facts are all on President Donald Trump's side heading into the weekend, as his team has a strong argument on constitutional grounds, process grounds, and a strong argument of fact, Rep. Jim Jordan said Friday, while questioning why the whistleblower whose report kicked off the Democrats' impeachment push hasn't yet spoken publicly.

"(This is) the guy who started it all, the anonymous whistle-blower with no first-hand knowledge who had a bias against the president according to the inspector general and who worked with Joe Biden," the Ohio Republican told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

The whistleblower said in his complaint that "more than a dozen" U.S. officials informed him about Trump's telephone call with Ukraine's president, said Jordan, but nobody knows who the officials are.

"Who were they, that they have the firsthand knowledge we cannot get?: said Jordan. "We don't know if they exist because we never got to talk to the whistleblower."

Jordan said he hopes that witnesses are not called to testify before the Senate, but if they are, the whistleblower should testify.

Without witnesses, though, the trial could wrap up soon, said Jordan, because the facts are "so strong for the president," said Jordan. "I feel real confident that hopefully next week we will get this decision over with."

Meanwhile, Trump praised Jordan and tweeted a link to a press conference from earlier this week, where the lawmaker lambasted Schiff and his testimony, commenting that "Jim is great!"

“We’re supposed to believe Adam Schiff today and everything he’s saying?" Jordan in the press statements. "This is the guy who said, ‘We have more than circumstantial evidence that there was coordination between Trump and Russia, and Russia influenced the election . . . Adam Schiff said you can trust the FISA court. Michael Horowitz said last month that no, you can’t;  (The FBI ) lied to the FISA court 17 times. Adam Schiff told us we look forward to hearing from the whistleblower. Adam Schiff said we’ve had no contact with the whistleblower . . . he just talked for two hours, 15 minutes, and we’re supposed to believe everything he said today, in spite of that history, where seven important things he had exactly wrong!?… That’s the kind of game that they’re playing here, and, again, I think that the American people see through it all.”
