Jim Jordan: Rosenstein Needs to Testify Before House

(Fox News/"Fox & Friends")

By    |   Thursday, 27 September 2018 11:49 AM EDT

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, says Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein needs to be hauled in front of Congress to explain his actions.

“There are important questions he needs to answer.” Jordan told Fox News' “Fox & Friends.”

Referring to a New York Times story, Jordan said that Rosenstein “was talking in front of subordinates about recording the commander in chief. And, even if that was done in some joking, sarcastic way, that is not supposed to happen in this country. So, definitely has to be in front of Congress answering questions about that meeting.”

President Donald Trump had been scheduled to get with Rosenstein on Thursday, but the meeting might be put off because of the Senate hearing on Brett Kavanaugh, the nominee for Supreme Court.

“I’d much prefer keeping Rod Rosenstein,” Trump said Wednesday.
