Bozell: Good Riddance to 'Fake Conservative' Jeff Flake

(C-SPAN)

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., is a "fake conservative" and will not be missed when he departs the Senate at the end of his current term, conservative commentator and activist Brent Bozell said Tuesday.

Flake took to the Senate floor earlier Tuesday to announce he would not be running for reelection in 2018, but not before he blasting President Donald Trump for what he called a "flagrant disregard of truth and decency," and calling out his fellow Republicans to follow his lead.

But Bozell said Flake cannot blame Trump for his decision not to run again. Instead, he said, the responsibility is squarely on Flake's own shoulders.

Flake had been targeted for defeat by Bozell's ForAmerica group, which currently has him listed with a "Liberty Score" of "F" by Conservative Review.
