Singer Jackson Browne has joined former donors and liberal New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd in expressing disappointment in President Barack Obama.
He said he’s still voting for Obama, according to
Politico, but added that Obama “once again has joined the ranks of the lesser of two evils. The great parade of people that the progressives get to vote for who are the lesser of two evils and who don’t really represent what I believe in any overwhelming balance.”
Dowd criticized the president in her last column and donors are not giving anywhere near 2008 levels so far in the campaign. Like the 2008 donors, Browne said he remains “involved politically” but won’t raise money for Obama this time around.
“…What’s a mystery to me is how he installed pretty much the exact same infrastructure in his administration that deals with finances as the administration that we thought we voted out. That’s really a shocker,” said Browne, the singer of hits such as "Doctor, My Eyes" and "Running on Empty."
