Hillary Clinton must immediately drop her support of presidential election recounts in three states if she "cares anything at all about her legacy, her reputation in history," former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says.

"Her spokespeople can couch it in high-flown rhetoric about Americans deserving elections we can trust, but the only ones attacking the validity of the election are her own supporters," Huckabee wrote Monday on his Facebook page.

"The alleged basis of the recount (an accusation of possibly hacked electronic voting machines) has been debunked by Nate Silver, the New York Times and even the Obama White House," Huckabee wrote.

"[The White House] stated, 'The federal government did not observe any increased level of malicious cyber activity aimed at disrupting our electoral process on election day,' adding, 'We stand behind our election results, which accurately reflect the will of the American people.'"

Huckabee, a Donald Trump supporter, said Clinton's backing of the recount spearheaded by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, "reeks of unpatriotic sore loserdom, an attempt to undermine public confidence in the incoming Administration, or at worst, an attempted coup.

"If Hillary Clinton cares anything at all about her legacy, her reputation in history, or (God forbid) her future political viability, she should immediately drop her support for this quixotic recount ploy and state unequivocally that Trump won fair and square, and that her supporters need to accept that and move on."
