Rep. Castro: 'My Impression' Is 'Some [Trump] People' Get 'Jail'

Several people will likely end up in jail after the probe into Russia's ties to the 2016 presidential election is all said and done, Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, said Tuesday.

"I wouldn't be surprised," Castro told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room."

There are several investigations under way, including one commissioned by the House Intelligence Committee, which Castro is a member of. He told Blitzer it was his "impression" multiple people would be charged and end up in jail but he did not offer evidence beyond his suspicion.

U.S. intelligence agencies last October concluded Russia had interfered in the presidential election, and numerous reports have surfaces of meetings between Trump advisers and Russian figures.
