An organization that supports Republican Party causes and candidates will run ads against the incumbents in 15 House districts controlled by Democrats, with a particular focus on the party’s election reform and campaign finance bill.
The American Action Network announced the five-figure digital ad campaign on Monday, first sharing the videos with Fox News.
"Alert. Liberals want public money for their campaigns," reads the ads, which appear as banners and urge voters to contact their House representative and tell them “to oppose H.R. 1.”
These ads target Democratic Reps. Jared Golden of Maine, Chris Pappas of New Hampshire, Tom Malinowski of New Jersey, Tom O'Halleran of Arizona, Stephanie Murray of Florida, Carolyn Boudreaux of Georgia, Cindy Axne of Iowa, John Sarbanes of Maryland, Elaine Luria of Virginia, Ron Kind of Wisconsin, Susan Wild and Matt Cartwright of Pennsylvania, Lizzie Fletcher, Vicente Gonzalez, and Colin Allred of Texas.
"This bill is nothing more than a shameful attempt to shovel public funds to the campaign coffers of corrupt Washington liberals," AAN President Dan Conston said in a statement to Fox News. "Especially in a time of unparalleled health and economic crisis, public funds should be used to help end the suffering of this pandemic – not to help Washington politicians get re-elected."
