Hillary Clinton's list of people she is considering for vice president includes women, John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman, told the Boston Globe.

Clinton's choice will be "the best person to make the case to the American people," Podesta said. "But there is no question that there will be women on that list."

Clinton's search for a vice president is getting attention now thanks to the apparent likelihood that she will be the Democratic nominee after her win in New York Tuesday.

Podesta didn't offer up any names, but the list likely includes Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, according to the Globe.

The Washington Post reports that if Warren moves out of her Senate role, Massachusetts' Republican governor would get to pick her successor.

While Warren hasn't made a Democratic endorsement, she has been vocal in her opposition to the Republican candidates. She called Donald Trump a "bigger, uglier threat every day that goes by," according to the Globe.

When Ted Cruz sent out a letter in which he discussed the difficulties of running for president, including "constant attacks" on him, Warren tweeted:
