Hillary Clinton has outlined her policy for providing "full equality" for the LGBT community, saying in a campaign statement that she will "continue to fight so that LGBT Americans can live, work, and pray free of discrimination."

The Democratic front-runner on Thursday posted a fact sheet that provides six planks for her platform, including honoring veterans, supporting LGBT people in all walks of life, lowering the cost for treating HIV and AIDS, protecting transgender rights and extending rights worldwide, reports The Hill.

Clinton's statement also states her support for the Equality Act, which mandates that the issues of sexual orientation and gender identity are treated the same as those of race or national origin when it comes to protection against discrimination.

Also, according to the policy statement, Clinton wants to ease the difficulties same-sex couples can face during adoption procedures, as well as strengthening measures to protect LGBT students from either being bullied or put into conversion therapy in attempts to change their sexual identities. Further, she wants to provide more support for LGBT seniors.

When it comes to veterans, Clinton notes in the plan that many were not honorably discharged when their sexual orientation was known, and she wants to change their records. Further, she wants to allow transgender individuals to serve openly in the military.

For HIV and AIDS treatment costs, Clinton says Republican governors should extend Medicaid coverage as part of Obamacare, and to cap out of pocket expenses for sufferers.

On Monday, the former secertary of state's campaign launched its LGBT for Hillary Coalition, and according to Mother Jones, Clinton's campaign manager, Robby Mook, is the first openly gay campaign manager serving in a major presidential campaign.
