Hillary Clinton's
gun-control ads in early-voting states have reportedly run just six times – despite considerable fanfare that accompanied the launch last month.
The New York Times reports Clinton's campaign vowed the ad, which calls for stricter gun laws, would be mixed in with already-reserved TV spots in Iowa and New Hampshire.
But data from the Campaign Media Analysis Group shows the ad only ran four times in four media markets in Iowa, and two times in two separate New Hampshire markets, the Times reports.
Fifteen other Clinton ads have run from 103 times in one case to 1,659 times in another, the Times reports.
Clinton's campaign insists the spot has rolled out 20 times in total, noting the Campaign Media Analysis Group count didn't pick up recent runs.
