Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton said in an interview with
"Extra" on Monday that she has considered naming her husband as her running mate, but there's one problem: He's not eligible.
"It has crossed my mind," Clinton told Mario Lopez. But the Constitution limits a president to two terms, and her husband, former President Bill Clinton already has served those. The vice president must be able to serve as president if anything happens to the commander in chief.
"He would be good, but he's not eligible; under the Constitution, he has served his two terms and I think the argument would be as vice president it would not be possible for him to ever succeed to the position — at least that's what I've been told," Clinton said.
