President Donald Trump should "absolutely" stay in his fight over the 2020 election as long as there are legal options for him in some states where there are affidavits of fraud, Rep. Greg Steube said Friday.

"I support him continuing his legal fights for as long as he can," the Florida Republican said on Fox Business' "Mornings With Maria." He added that if more states were like his and did not allow absentee ballots "coming from people [when] you don't know who they are," these problems would not have occurred.

His comments come after Trump said on Thanksgiving Day that he'll leave the White House if the Electoral College casts its vote for Joe Biden but reiterated his claims of voter fraud and refused to say if he'd attend a Biden inauguration.

Steube also Friday praised the president for granting a full pardon to former national security adviser Michael Flynn, saying he wishes the pardon would have happened a long time ago.

"What happened was a national travesty," said Steube. "I hope the individuals that were involved in the attack on him, and conjuring evidence against him and all the things that happened are being investigated, and that will come to fruition here very soon."

Meanwhile, he said he doesn't think Biden will be tough on China if he takes office.

"His family received hundreds of millions of dollars from the Chinese Communist Party, we all know, that anybody that is paid for by the Chinese Communist Party or a citizen of the Chinese Communist Party is part of their apparatus," said Steube.

Meanwhile, Steube said he feels good about the chances for Georgia's incumbent GOP Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler to win their upcoming runoff races and said Trump's upcoming trip there is good because the president's "voters are very important to the outcome of that election."
