Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Sunday that “somebody needs to go to jail” for “lies” about an unverified dossier on President Donald Trump and Russia compiled by ex-British spy Christopher Steele.

In an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Graham railed at the FBI for the disinformation.

“I’m going to write a letter to [FBI Director] Christopher Wray and ask him who gave the briefing to the Senate [Intelligence] Committee in 2018 and how could they be telling the … committee in 2018 a bunch of lies when they knew better,” he said.

Graham said it was inconceivable how the FBI could “send somebody over …in 2018, February/March 2018, to brief about the [dossier’s Russian] subsource and mislead the Senate so badly.”

“You have information in your files that [Department of Justice Inspector General Michael] Horowitz found where the subsource completely denied the reliability of the dossier but the FBI continued to lie as late as 2018,” Graham said.

“Somebody needs to go to jail for this,” Graham declared.

“They lied to the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance] Court,” he added. “They got rebuked, the FBI did in 2019 by the FISA Court, putting in doubt all FISA applications. … It's just amazing, the compounding of the lies.”
