North Carolina could be a key in determining the presidential race, but Gov. Pat McCrory said Thursday residents are experiencing "incredible Clinton fatigue" and are just tired of the controversies surrounding Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

"The emails and the Clinton Foundation, It's like we are living in the 90s again," the Republican governor, who himself is seeking reelection, told Fox News' "America's Newsroom" co-host Martha MacCallum. As a result, even with early voting, there has been no pattern change with voters.

"There are fewer places to go, but extended hours, so that's very, very good news for North Carolina, the extended hours," McCrory said. "Even as we extended the number of locations during the past week throughout North Carolina, we have seen no real pattern change regarding North Carolina voters, and it's due to Clinton fatigue."

When President Barack Obama was on the ballot, McCrory said, "there was a passion there with a lot of voters," but now no matter how much Obama wants to tie Clinton to his legacy, people are tired of Clinton.

Also, Obamacare premiums are hitting hard in North Carolina, and now it's a "disaster, with serious problems here and in many other states," said the governor. In his state, premiums are to rise more than 30 percent.
