GOP strategist Rick Wilson on Wednesday took a dig at President Donald Trump's dealmaking on the replacement for Obamacare, The Hill reports.

"It's sort of wish-casting on Trump's part that once again his powers of moral persuasion, his mojo as a dealmaker — which we saw last week went over like [flatulence] in a hurricane — this was not something that was successful for him in the House," Wilson, who has slammed Trump before with some choice words, said on MSNBC's "Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell."

"And I see even less of a prospect of that happening in the Senate unless he wants to completely deviate from any sort of conservative dogma and ideology about how we view reforming healthcare."

Trump tried to wrangle up votes for the House GOP healthcare bill but his efforts failed and the legislation was pulled from a floor vote last Friday because it didn't have enough votes.

Wilson last October told The Washington Post, "Everything Trump touches dies" and in late December, after Trump had won the nomination, he went on a Twitter rant saying Trump and his aides' allegiance was to Russian President Vladimir Putin in reaction to Trump defending Russia's alleged hacking.
