Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore didn't meet the criteria even for the early GOP presidential debate Wednesday night, so he'll be responding on social media instead.
Gilmore had hoped that when former Texas Gov. Rick Perry quit the race last week, he would take his place on the stage,
The New York Times reports. But Gilmore still isn't showing high enough in the polls CNN used as its criteria.
Gilmore tried to negotiate with the network, but to no avail. He was especially put out that CNN changed its rules to allow Carly Fiorina to be added to the main debate.
"They changed all the rules around to favor Fiorina," Gilmore told the Times. "I’m running against her, too, you know."
Gilmore's responses can be seen by those wishing to do so on his
Twitter,
Facebook and YouTube accounts.
