Conservative political commentator Glenn Beck railed against the pivot of former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, on President-elect Donald Trump's Carrier deal, saying she needs to "own" her once-loyal support for Trump.
"Let me go back, real quick, Sarah Palin: Sincerely, has she had a brain aneurysm?" Beck asked during Monday staff meeting for his TheBlaze network. "Because I don’t know what has happened to her."
Beck marveled critically at how Palin was quick to stand against Trump's U.S. job-keeping Carrier deal as "crony capitalism" and "socialism" — despite potentially trying to secure a position in Trump's Cabinet.
"You own it, Sarah," Beck told his staff. "You brought it to the table. He said he would do that. I don't get it."
Beck, a devout "Never Trump" conservative, did once side with Palin, but has since called her "a clown," as The Daily Beast chronicled.
Beck also mocked Palin's giddy support for Trump during the campaign.
Beck did suggest Palin would be a good fit for Trump's secretary of Veteran Affairs, but intimated her stance against Trump's Carrier deal might have cost her favor for the position.
Beck's staffers suggested Palin wanted to show "Never Trump" conservatives she did not "drink the Kool-Aid" of Trump or might be "butt-hurt" she will not be getting a Cabinet post after all.
