Rudy Giuliani Thursday doubled down on his comments that adult film actress Stormy Daniels lacks credibility because of her profession and called her a "con-artist" who will do what it takes to get money.

"If you're involved in a sort of slimy business, (that) says something about you, says something about how far you'll go to make money," Giuliani, President Donald Trump's attorney, told CNN's Dana Bash.

"Our real point about her is that she's not just generally un-credible, she's un-credible from the point of view of wanting to get money. She's a con artist."

Giuliani, during a conference in Tel Aviv, Israel on Wednesday, commented that Daniels has "no reputation to be damaged" because of her profession.

"If you're going to sell your body for money, you just don't have a reputation," he said from the stage at the conference. "The business you were in entitles you to no degree of giving your credibility any weight."

On Thursday, during his telephone interview with Bash, Giuliani refused to back down.

"If you're a feminist, and you support the porn industry, you should turn in your credentials," Giuliani told Bash.

When Bash asked Giuliani if his opinion and comments represent an "antiquated" opinion, he told her: "I kind of like my view of it better."

The former New York City mayor joined Trump's legal team in April to work on issues in connection with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling, not the legal issues Daniels has brought against Trump over an affair she claims happened about 10 years ago.

Giuliani also backed Trump's denials that he and Daniels had had an affair, said Bash.

Wednesday night, Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti fired back at Giuliani over the comments he'd made in Israel.

"Mr. Giuliani is an absolute pig for making those comments, he's basically stating that women that engage in the adult film industry and other forms of pornography don't have reputations and are not entitled to respect," he told CNN's Don Lemon.

"I certainly hope that we are not going to reach a place where Rudy Giuliani is going to be the police who is going to decide which women deserve respect or not," Avenatti added. "His comments are piggish. They are outrageous especially in today's day and age and he should be fired immediately by the president."
