A Gallup poll released Thursday showed that voters consider former President Donald Trump as a better leader but contend Vice President Kamala Harris is the more likable of the presidential candidates.

The survey of 941 registered voters taken Sept. 16-28 after the presidential debate showed that 59% said Trump is a strong, decisive leader, compared to 48% who said that of Harris, The Hill reported. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points.

In addition, 61% said they see Trump as the candidate who can "get things done," compared to 49% who said that about Harris.

Meanwhile, the poll showed that 60% called Harris likable, compared to 38% saying that about Trump.

Harris also ranked higher on questions concerning having a strong moral character, caring about everyday people's needs, and being honest and trustworthy.

More people also said they would be prouder to have Harris than Trump as president.

Meanwhile, the survey revealed that over the course of Trump's campaigns in 2016, 2020, and 2024, his ratings have gone up on almost all issues.

Still, Harris and Trump were nearly tied among respondents on some issues.

Both candidates scored 51% among respondents on the question of whether they could manage the government effectively. Trump scored 52% to Harris' 51% when the survey asked which person would better display good judgment in a crisis.
