OPINION

A Sen. Kari Lake Will Restore Lost Hope in Arizona and Washington, D.C.

While all eyes are on the presidential race, these key senate races in battleground states will be critical if former U.S. President Trump wins on Nov. 5.

Very recently, CPAC hosted a townhall with Hispanic voters during which Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Kari Lake, made the case to these voters that we need common sense policies to build a strong and secure America.

Later that evening, Arizona watched as the two candidates in their high-stakes Senate race faced off in a debate. What became clear very quickly was that Ruben Gallego was nervous and Kari Lake has what it takes to solve the issues facing Arizona, and the country as a whole.

For three decades, Lake reported the news in Arizona and earned the trust of the people.

And also very recently, her message of hope and her solution-driven agenda proved that Arizonians can trust her to represent them in the United States Senate.

Kari will work with President Trump to fix the problems that Ruben Gallego has created.

She will secure our border, cut inflation, reduce the deficit, return energy independence, solve the homelessness crisis, fix our education system, and protect Arizona's water security.

For a decade, Gallego did the bidding of Nancy Pelosi and for the past three years, he’s done the bidding of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Now that it’s election season, Ruben Gallego wants us to forget his radical record:

  • Unfortunately for him, Christians won’t forget when he said "f*** your prayers."
  • Parents won’t forget his efforts to allow men in women’s sports and bathrooms.
  • Military families won’t forget when he voted against a pay raise and increased benefits for service members.
  • Police officers won’t forget when he marched in “Defund the Police” protests.
  • Families won’t forget when he voted for the hyperinflationary and open-borders policies of Biden & Harris.
  • Latinos won’t forget his bank fraud scheme that targeted immigrants.
  • And . . . seniors won’t forget when he raised Part D prescription drug prices or when a company he worked for was accused Medicare irregularities.

There’s no hiding from a record that bad, and that was evident in the Arizona debate.

It’s time we bring hope back to America. No more division or despair.

We need leaders willing to change Washington, not career politicians like Ruben Gallego.

As a mother of five girls, I know that Kari Lake isn’t just fighting for her son and daughter, she’s fighting for my children, and yours.

She's rightfully fighting to give our next generation the opportunity to truly live the American Dream. That’s why I am confident that with Kari Lake in the U.S. Senate, we can restore hope and implement common-sense solutions to the problems facing America.

Mercedes Schlapp is Senior Fellow for CPAC Foundation and former Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications for President Donald J. Trump.
