Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is leading a running poll among 350,000 financial advisers being conducted by
Forbes magazine.
With 16 percent, the retired pediatric neurosurgeon is leading current frontrunner Donald Trump, with 11 percent — and even former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is ahead of the billionaire developer, with 13 percent.
The poll closes at the end of the month.
Here are how some of the other candidates are faring so far:
- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush: 10 percent.
- Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders: 7 percent.
- Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton: 6 percent.
- Vice President Joe Biden: 4 percent.
"The surprise, of course, was Carson," Forbes said. "Who is Carson, again?"
"And, where's Mitt?" Forbes asked. "The financial services world clearly wants you back."
