House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is moving on up in the political pantheon, as the GOP asserts its new control of the House. He has been a whirlwind of activity this week between media interviews, reading his piece of the Constitution on the floor and meeting with other senior GOP leaders and his top aides,
Politico reports.

“It’s an early sign Cantor is building his brand: He’s got the “Cantor rule,” in which he asks lawmakers, ‘Are my efforts addressing job creation and the economy?’” the news service reports. “He has eight ‘Cantor protocols’ to guide legislation, including the requirement of constitutional authority for legislation, and so-called cut-go rules for new federal spending. And he has one of the most aggressive press shops on Capitol Hill.”
