His comments came during an interview on Wednesday with NBC’s Pete Williams. The full interview was posted on the NBC News website.

Kevin Clinesmith, a former FBI lawyer has already been charged with making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham's investigation into the probe of ties between Russia and the 2016 Donald Trump campaign.

Williams asked Barr: “Would you say it is unlikely there will be additional charges?”

Barr replied: “No, I wouldn’t say that at all.”

Pressed on whether there could be more charges, Barr said: “Yeah, there could be.”

And asked whether the public will hear anything about the Durham report before the election, Barr answered, “I'm not going get into that.”
