Trump: Voting Dem in '18 'Will Totally Kill the Great Wealth Created'

Touting U.S. economic gains and massive growth in his first year, President Donald Trump reminded his Twitter followers Sunday slow growth under Democratic leadership in Washington would not have brought us to this point and warned voting for his opposition in the 2018 midterms "will totally kill the great wealth created."

President Trump's first-year moves were highlighted by the ways he undid many of former President Barack Obama's executive orders; hence, President Trump's warning against voting his political opponents into Congress during the 2018 midterm elections.

The above tweet came minutes after declaring voting Democrat Hillary Clinton into the White House in the 2016 election would have been met with far less growth and prosperity.

The tweet trumpeted a banner year for the stock market, among the records set, according to Fox News:

  • 71 new highs for the Dow Jones Industrials index, a one-year record.
  • The first time the Dow rose 5,000 points in a single year.
  • The strongest first year of a presidential term since 1945: Up 28.5 percent.

The records were not lost on conservative commentator Tomi Lahren.

Republican control of Congress is clearly in the balance, as Alabama's election of Sen. Doug Jones, D-Ala., cut the Senate GOP majority to a mere 51-49. Over in the House, the GOP edge is much stronger, but historically presidential midterms tend to flip control to the opposition party, according to pollster and Newsmax contributor Scott Rasmussen.
