President Donald Trump, in a recorded robocall, urged Alabama Republicans to vote for Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala., when they go to the polls in the GOP special primary for Senate on Tuesday, the Hill is reporting.

"It is so important that you do," Trump says in the recording. "We've fulfilled so many of our promises, everything we've wanted to do, we're doing."

Trump said he needs Strange in the Senate to help push through his legislative agenda.

"We are doing things a lot of people said were impossible, but I need Luther to help us out," Trump says in the robocall, urging people to get out to the polls.

"He is helping me in the Senate and is going to get the tax cuts for us. He's doing a lot of things for the people of Alabama and for the people of The United States."
