Donald Trump said Thursday that he doesn't believe that the Republican National Committee will change the rules on the convention floor in Cleveland in July to deny him the party's presidential nomination if he gets the required 1,237 delegates.

"No, that won't happen," he told Fox News' Eric Bolling on "The O'Reilly Factor" in an interview. "We have millions of people more than anybody else.

"I have millions and millions more people than anybody else," he said, referring to the large numbers of voters who have been turning out so far in state contests. "Lines are blocks long. It's amazing.

"I don't think anybody would think about playing around with that," Trump said.

"If we are millions of votes ahead of everyone else and hundreds of delegates ahead of everyone else, I really think that whoever has that kind of an advantage should get it," he later added. "I think it's awfully hard to take that away."

Trump's interview came after he met with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus in Washington in a meeting that both described as pre-scheduled but that came after several embarrassments in the front-runner's campaign this week.

Trump would not discuss the substance of his session with the chairman — particularly after declaring Tuesday that he would not support the eventual GOP nominee if it were not him — only calling it "a very good meeting.

"Actually a terrific meeting, I think. It's really a unity meeting.

"We are leading by a lot," Trump told Bolling. "We have far and away the most delegates. Millions and millions of votes more than anybody else than Ted has, than Kasich has.

"I think they wanted it to really discuss unity — and I like discussing unity, too."
