Trump Signs Orders on University Accreditation, Foreign Gifts

Wednesday, 23 April 2025 06:07 PM EDT

President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order directing his administration to enforce existing laws requiring universities to disclose when they receive large foreign gifts.

Trump signed a second order making changes to the university accreditation process, in order to force accreditation to be focused on the merit and results rather than "woke ideology," White House aide Will Scharf said in the Oval Office.
