Only "extremists" favor President Donald Trump's administration for its decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, according to Eric Holder, former attorney general to former President Barack Obama, in a tweet Tuesday.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the decision on Tuesday.

Another veteran of the Obama administration, former vice president Joe Biden, also weighed in, calling the decision "cruel."

A number of celebrities agreed with Holder's and Biden's criticism, according to The Hill.

"The bad man continues to do bad," wrote "Hamilton" star Lin-Manuel Miranda in a tweet.

Actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk in "The Avengers" movies, called the decision "cowardly."
